The children are surrounded by a Christian atmosphere of respect and love for each other and for the wonders of God's world. We will be sharing with the children about Creation and God, the Creator.
Every month we offer a program of activities that include learning and review of the alphabet and numbers, colors, bible verses, and songs. A monthly calendar is published with the activities and themes that we will be sharing with the children.
Our school opens at 6:30 a.m. As the children arrive at school, they are warmly welcomed. During the morning, the children have a healthy snack and free choice of activities indoors and outdoors. Indoor activities include play dough, chalk, puzzles, blocks, records, shelf selection, dollhouse area, books, paper and crayons. Outdoor activities include climbers, large trucks, balls, and teacher-directed games.
Circle Time includes the Pledge of Allegiance, songs, prayer, news items, months, days, seasons, special holidays, finger plays, practice of verbal and social skills, musical games, marching, or dancing.
Our day incorporates Teacher-Directed Learning Activities. These activities include art work, crafts, painting, concepts in math, science, language, reading readiness, flannel board stories, puppets, special games, and music.
The daily program is subject to change due to special activities for holidays, field trips, nature walks, special cooking projects, weather, etc.
After lunch, nap time, and a healthy snack, our afternoon includes more activities, story time, crafts and free play. Our day ends with videos as the children leave for the day. Our school closes at 6:00 p.m.
