Unfortunately, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Valley’s Preschool operations. At the outset of this pandemic in March enrollment at Valley’s Preschool dramatically dropped rapidly and now 7 months later it still remains at extremely low levels. This low enrollment has resulted in an ongoing and unsustainable financial loss for Valley Bible Preschool/Day Care and Valley Bible Church itself. In spite of steps that Valley Bible Church and the Preschool Staff have taken to date, as well as steps that have been considered going forward, we have regretfully have concluded that there is no financially viable operational plan available to forestall the closing of our wonderful Preschool/Day Care.
The Elders of Valley Bible Church have met, prayed, considered the options and on October 22 they reached the very difficult and heartbreaking decision that because of the unprecedented and financially unsustainable impacts of this pandemic we must cease Preschool/Day Care operations effective November 13, 2020. We realize this closure may result in additional hardships for parents and staff, but to ensure the long term health of the church we believe this decision was absolutely necessary.
Although the last day children may attend Valley Bible Preschool is November 13, to aid the parents and guardians to make alternative arrangements for their children, no tuition for the month of November will be charged. We greatly thank the staff the parents and the students who have worked, supported and attended the Preschool over these past 26 years and we will continue to earnestly pray that God will richly provide for the needs of the current parents, students and preschool workers in the days and weeks ahead.
